Is it cheaper to rent from the city centre than Split Airport? +
Airport desks typically carry a location surcharge. Our city centre office carries no airport fee, so the total cost is lower if you do not need airport delivery. The base day rate is the same across both Split offices.
Can I pick up at the city centre office and drop off at Split Airport? +
Yes. One-way between our Split city office and Split Airport (SPU) is available. The short-trip one-way fee is modest — confirm at booking.
Can I pick up in Split city and drop off in Dubrovnik? +
Yes. M.A.C.K. has offices in Split and Dubrovnik. One-way rental is available — the fee is confirmed at booking and is lower than with companies that rely on third-party returns.
What car do I need for day trips from Split city centre? +
For most day trips — Trogir, Šibenik, Makarska, Krka — a compact or mid-size car is perfectly fine. For island interior tracks on Brač or Hvar, or early-season mountain roads, an SUV with extra clearance is useful. We'll advise at pickup based on your itinerary.
Can I rent a car for a single day from Split city centre? +
Yes, minimum rental is one day. Single-day rentals are subject to availability — book ahead in peak season (July–August) when city centre stock moves fast.
